Accommodation:
Boghall House is a beautiful Edwardian Manor, built in a baronial style in 1907. The house has recently been renovated and stylishly redecorated. A circular entrance vestibule leads to a beautiful reception hallway which also serves as an informal sitting room. The reception leads into a lovely lounge with fireplace, perfect to relax and connect in the evenings.
The first floor offers 4 main bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Rooms are available to share (2 twin rooms, 1 triple) and we have 1 single room which can also function as a double room.
All meals will be served in the large, modern kitchen and its spacious kitchen room.
Boghall House enjoys extensive, private gardens, surrounded by tall hedges, rows of mature trees, and a gated stone wall. A small stream runs down the far end of the garden, perfect for cold dips. We also have several very large whisky casks for full cold water immersion. Linn Caves and their stunning waterfalls are just a 30 minute hike up the hill, perfect for a natural shower.
Included:
Accommodation, all meals, all activities
Harvest Chaga from the Scottish Highlands.
The food over the days is based on the Paleo diet, and will be based on the Scottish & UK seasonal food calendar. The quality Scottish Wild Venison is bought from my local butcher in the Scottish Highlands.
Location:
Boghall House is located just outside Milngavie, north of Glasgow, in the small hamlet of Baldernock in the lovely rural setting of East-Dunbartonshire. Milngavie train station, just a 5 minute drive from the house, connects directly to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
